Born in Argentina. Arthuro Guyumjian's art is well known to music lovers in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh. He performed in concerts in Armenia and Karabakh several times, receiving a warm welcome. The singer, who had lost his sight decades earlier, suffered from kidney disease in his last years. With funds raised by the Armenian communities of Argentina and Uruguay, Guyumjian underwent a complex operation in Bolivia. The operation was successful, but, alas, the 52-year-old singer's body was unable to overcome its after-effects.
