Erna Yuzbashyan

Born in Yerevan. In 1979 she graduated from the Baku State Music College, after which she moved to Yerevan. In 1980 she toured Ukraine and Moldova with the vocal-instrumental ensemble "Serpantin". From 1982 she performed with the State Estrada (Pop) Orchestra of Armenia led by Konstantin Orbelyan, and since 1984 she has performed as a solo singer. She has taken part in numerous international music competitions, festivals and television programmes and has won prizes. Since 1988: lecturer in pop vocals at the Yerevan State Jazz College. Since 1991: principal soloist of the State Song Theatre of Armenia. In 1994 she moved to the USA, to Los Angeles. In 2010 Erna Yuzbashyan gave a solo concert at the A. Spendiaryan National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre in Yerevan. In 2013 she marked the Day of Estrada Song with a solo concert. In 2015 she celebrated 35 years of her career with solo concerts, performing in Gyumri and Stepanakert, and also released the CD "The Best". In 2015 Erna Yuzbashyan was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia.
