Karine Lisitsian

Karine Lisitsian was born in Yerevan. She lives in Moscow since 1943. Finished piano department of Moscow Music School, then chamber singing class of Gnessin Institute. Since 1965 she was a soloist at «Madrigal» ensemble, together with her sister they sang a duet which brought them fame in all over Soviet Union. She sang in different stages of various countries. Since 1999 Karine Lisitsian teaches at GITIS (Moscow), (Professor since 2006). They created charity fund P. Lisitsian with her sister and brother in the framework of which she organized numerous concerts, creative seminars. Karine Lisitsian was awarded the medal "850th Anniversary of Moscow" and "For Merits in the Field of Culture", in 1979 she was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Armenian SSR, in 1987 - People's Artist of the Armenian SSR, 1997 - Honored Artist of Russia.
