Paul Desmond

Paul Desmond was born in San Francisco (California). At the age of 12 he started studying at San Francisco Polytechnic College. He chose playing the violin but his father recommended clarinet as a more popular musical instrument. During those years he went to army and served in musical band. After Second World War he started playing at the club and was one of the famous musicians. In 1950 he moved to New York and played viola-saxophone and clarinet. Paul Desmond died in New York (USA).
