Shamile Bako

Şamilê Beko was a Kurdish instrumentalist of Radio Yerevan's Kurdish-language broadcasts. A Rudaw retrospective names him, together with Egîdê Cimo and Xelîlê Evdile, among the masters of Kurdish instrumental music at the station, and the mey player Çetîn Xoce has named Şamilê Beko, along with Xelîlê Evdile, among the Radio Yerevan musicians from whom he drew inspiration. His recordings are kept in the Public Radio of Armenia archive.
