Stanislao Gastaldon was born in Turin. While studying music in Florence, he studied literature at the University of Florence. At the age of 17 he wrote his first romances and poems. From 1884 to 1888 he wrote vocal and instrumental music. Stanislao Gastaldon taught vocal and as a musical critic worked with publications. He died in Florence.
