Susanna Safaryan

Susanna Safaryan was born in Vedi, Ararat region, Armenia. She studied at the vocal department of Yerevan musical-pedagogical school. As a soloist worked at Armenian State Orchestra of Folk Instruments since 1976, from 1987 studied at Folk song Department of Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory. As a song teacher Susanna Safaryan worked at Yerevan State Conservatory. Since 1990 she is a soloist at Aram Merangulyan ensemble, since 1995 – at “Sayat-Nova” ashugh ensemble. She is engaged in songwriting, wrote songs, adapted and recorded them. She had concerts in Armenia, France, Jordan, Cyprus, Australia and elsewhere. Susanna Safaryan writes poems, songs which she performs during her concerts. She received “Sayat-Nova” 1st prize and in 2008 she was awarded with Honored Artist of Armenia title.
