36 recordings, 9 hours on air, 29 contributors
Recordings of poetry recited aloud (1955–2001), an art known in Armenian as asmunk, by actors and reciters including Vahram Papazyan, Hrachya Nersisyan, Sergush Babayan, Hrachuhi Jinanyan and Vladimir Abajyan. The readings range from Petros Duryan, whose short life (1851–1872) produced influential lyric poetry, to Avetik Isahakyan and Vahan Teryan, the national epic Daredevils of Sassoun, the quatrains of Omar Khayyam and the Russian poets Tsvetaeva, Yesenin and Mandelstam.
