Chief Architect Of Yerevan Edvard Papyan's Speech

Edvard Papyan was born in Tiflis. In 1949 he finished Yerevan Polytechnic Institute Faculty of Civil Engineering. Worked at building design companies, from 1964-1971 was the chief architect of Yerevan, from 1971 worked at “Yerevanproject”. Since 1954 Edvard Papyan was a member of Architects Union of Armenia, from 1955 member of CPSU. He was mostly interested in city planning. He was awarded with “Badge of Honor”, from 1962 to 1967 was a laureate of All-Union reviews of the achievements of Soviet architecture. In 1968 Edvard Papyan was awarded with Honorary Architect title. Died in Yerevan.
