Karo Tonikyan returned to his homeland from Greece. He is one of the best jazz singers in Armenia, whose band was renamed Pop Orchestra in 1949. Tonikyan performed with the orchestra for more than five years. Tonikyan’s songs by A. Ayvazian and other composers working with the orchestra gained popularity.
