String Quartet

Villi Mokatsyan was born in Yerevan, finished P. Tchaikovsky Music School, later Komitas State Conservatory. He had concerts with various orchestras and ensembles, performed in Ukraine, Georgia, Cuba and USA. Between 1961-1970 was the artist of piano trio of Komitas State Conservatory and also released a CD. From 1971-1980 was the artist of string quartet of Komitas State Conservatory, from 1972-1974 – concertmaster of radio and TV symphony orchestra. Arno Babajanian his famous concert for violin dedicated to Villi Mokatsyan. Between 1978-1994 was the Head of the Department of String Instruments of the Yerevan Conservatory (Professor), violin teacher at the Yerevan Music School after P. Tchaikovsky. From 1974-1976 lived and taught at the Havana National School of Art. In 1974 Villi Mokatsyan was awarded Honored Artist of Armenia title. Died in Yerevan.
